I come from Mirzapur district of the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. I studied journalism at Indian Institute of Mass Communication in Delhi.

I have previously worked with Youth Ki Awaaz and Hindustan Times. I have also reported for a few other media, on a freelance basis.
