Mohammed Soheb, a farmer residing in the predominantly Muslim district of Nuh in the North Indian state of Haryana, has long endeavored to shed light on its status as India's least developed district. Soheb, along with his fellow Nuh inhabitants, has always taken pride in the harmonious coexistence of Muslims and Hindus in the region. However, a recent incident of communal violence has cast doubt upon the district's reputation for unity. To find out what happened, a team of Newsreel Asia journalists traveled to the district for a conversation over food with Soheb, who countered the narrative provided by sections of the mainstream Indian media.
